Join lawyers from the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service (VALS), including the Balit Ngulu team, for an essential workshop on cultural competency in youth justice.

This workshop will equip you with the skills and knowledge to support and engage with Indigenous children and youth in the criminal legal system in a culturally safe and respectful way.

Balit Ngulu (‘Strong Voice’ in Wurundjeri language) is VALS' specialised youth program, dedicated to providing culturally appropriate legal assistance and representation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.

This is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of youth justice, Indigenous legal advocacy, and how to work effectively alongside Indigenous young people.
